1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Quietude Collective website (the “Site”), Sunday sessions, retreats, and any related services (together, the “Services”) operated by Quietude Collective (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account, registering for a session, or applying to a retreat, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or register for a session or retreat. You agree to provide accurate information at signup and to keep it current. You are responsible for the security of your account, and for any activity under it. Notify us immediately at hello@quietudecollective.co if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Sunday sessions
Sunday sessions are conducted online via Zoom. Registration is required and may be paid for individually, in packs, or via a membership subscription. We may cancel a session for facilitator availability, weather, technical reasons, or any reason in our reasonable discretion; if we cancel, registered members will receive their session credit back, or, where applicable, a refund.
4. Retreats
Retreats require an application and are accepted at our discretion. Confirmed seats require a deposit; the remaining balance is charged automatically to the card on file approximately 90 days before the retreat begins. By confirming a seat, you authorize this off-session autopay and agree to keep a valid payment method on file until the balance is paid.
4.1 Cancellation & refund policy
Cancellations for retreats are governed by our Refund Policy. In summary: more than 90 days before the retreat we issue a full refund; 45–90 days before, we issue a 50% refund; within 45 days of the retreat, no refund will be issued.
5. Memberships & subscriptions
Monthly and annual memberships renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; previously charged amounts are not refunded except as required by law. Pause and resume rules, where offered, are described in your member dashboard.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; we retain only the customer reference required to bill you. All amounts are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise noted, and any applicable taxes will be added at checkout where required.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services to harass, harm, or disrupt other members.
- Record, screenshot, or share any session or retreat content without our written permission and the consent of any other member shown.
- Attempt to access another member’s account or any non-public part of the Site.
- Use the Services in any way that violates law or any third party’s rights.
8. Health & safety
Our sessions and retreats include contemplative practice, which can bring up strong emotions for some participants. Quietude Collective is not a substitute for therapy, counselling, or medical care. By taking part you confirm that you are responsible for your own wellbeing, and you agree to seek qualified professional help when appropriate.
9. Intellectual property
All Site content, including text, design, logos, and recordings, belongs to Quietude Collective or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for their intended purpose. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you breach these Terms or in any case where we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to protect other members or the integrity of the practice. You may close your account at any time by writing to hello@quietudecollective.co.
11. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quietude Collective and its facilitators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Quietude Collective is established, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless we agree otherwise in writing.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If the changes are material, we will notify members by email and update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
